Virtual Stadium

I was tasked with constructing a basketball stadium that would be mapped to Nightscape's immersive projection room, immersing ticket holders in a basketball venue while simultaneously showcasing our ability to stream additional external content within the virtual space.

The project was mostly a kitbash project, until it came down to mapping the virtual displays within the arena. I made it work by fusing all displays into a single mesh, and then arranging the mesh's UV map into an ultra-compact UV tile. Content intended to be displayed on the virtual displays is loaded into an After Effects project file of my own design that parsed the human-readable arrangements into a form that fit the tile texture. That tile could then be rendered, and swapped with the media source read by Unreal Engine and projected on to the arena's virtual displays.
