Zack Dixon is an artist specializing in animation, 3D graphics and interactivity. He has served in roles as a Creative Director and Post-production producer for branded, narrative, and experiential works.
As an artist, he thrives in situations that demand creative problem solving. He is the most inspired by nature and extra-dimensional mysteries. A diverse background of software knowledge makes adapting to new tools a causal task as a creative professional.
While performing in directorial roles, he enjoys maintaining a healthy and productive creative environment. His career as an artist across multiple disciplines makes inter-departmental communication easier, estimates more grounded, and expectations realistic.
He is best versed in platforms such as Blender, Cinema4D, Unreal Engine, AfterEffects, Premiere Pro, Houdini, MochaPro, Resolume Arena, and the usual adobe staples such as Photoshop and Illustrator.
He has scripted interactivity using C++, AE Javascript (API and expression), Python, and Bash; Node-based systems such as PureData, MaxMSP, TouchDesigner and Unreal Engine Blueprint.
Graduated with a BFA in Animated Arts from the Pacific Northwest College of Art in Portland, Oregon. Outside of art, he likes to dive in the kelp forests of Pudget Sound and often volunteers as a conservation diver.
